I write my posts in Blogger. Never use spell checking. Never save a draft. Never go back to change. Anything.
I sit, I write, I post. I don’t work the sentences. I don’t rearrange the paragraphs.
I do use dictionaries, sometimes for help, sometimes for inspiration.
I don’t ponder about, I don’t think ahead.
I sit, with a worry, with a pain, with a smile, with a desire.
I write, I fly, I live, I breath.
I post, I give, I surrender.

I read my past sometimes
I have regrets sometimes
I am happy sometimes

A very generouse writer showed me the beauty of working with words, the movements of inspiration, the pleasure of constant company.
I just can’t explain the abouts and hows. I can about the whys.
Swan, I can sooooo relate to this, I type my poetry directly in, no editing, no pondering, sometimes use a thesaurus when the same word pops up too many times, but normally my writing just comes out as is. I too am enjoying Weta’s explanations.
By the way, you should come over and visit new zealand sometime!
Thanks for your kind words Swan. It seems to me maybe its a bit of a manbrain/womanbrain thing. The two drips thing was mainly a bunch of clever wordplay but not much in the way of story or emotional impact.. I’m trying to get there now. There is definitely a place for all types of poetry, the considered and the freeflowing stream of consciousness.Like in music , I prefer heartfelt to technically perfect.
Keep doing what you do.. I love to read it.
Spontanious writing is great way to release our “instant” and sometimes “chaotic” thoughts and feelings while keeping thier momentum.
I think you are an excellent writer who pours out molten lava from her heart, scalding herself and those who read, yet the end result is growth, like the growth of a volcanic island.

leigh: I’m releived and honored that we do it the same way 🙂 and oh yes, new zealand would be a dream come true! you have such a beautiful country.
weta: you probably are right about the gender thing. and just now in your comment you helped me further. the comparision between poetry and music. I totally get that. it’s like when I took ski lessons. I couldn’t get the movements, the rythm. the teacher told me to sing Painted black and bend the knees on 2. and that changed everything.
thank you, for this and that.
travis: yes, the momentum. but is it the thoughts that keep the momentum going or the momentum that keeps the thoughts alive.
chris: wow, chris, that’s very generous. and couldn’t have picked a better example. volcanoes fascinate me. thank you very much for your compliments. they mean a lot.
harry: un moment d’éveil exceptionellement vivant que d’écrire. merci 🙂
