Alors voilà. Je ferme ce soir. Voici ma dernière note que j’ai posté là ce matin, et la dernière note à ce sujet, point.

Je vais fermer mon compte Facebook. Mais voilà, c’est pas si simple. Je dois tout effacer. Mes traces sur vos walls, sur les forums de discussion, sur les notes… Il me faut aussi tout effacer mes photos. Désinstaller toutes les applications…

C’est un long processus. En plus il faut contacter Facebook pour demander la destruction permanente de votre compte, sinon il n’est que désactivé.

On pourra me traiter de parano, m’en fout. C’est pas le fait que tout le monde sache que j’ai aimé The Matrix ou que j’ai acheté des culottes en latex qui me dérange. C’est que j’ai vendu mon âme en ouvrant un compte ici.

Plus rien ne m’appartien. Ni mon nom, ni mes photos, ni mes commentaires, ni mes notes… Si j’étais vous, j’y penserais à deux fois avant de mettre du contenu créatif ici…

Ça peut vous sembler extrême, c’est votre opinion. Pour ma part, j’aime autant ne pas être répertoriée comme du bétail et étudiée comme un rat de laboratoire.

qui explique en détail comment deleter votre compte… Et ce n’est qu’un groupe parmi tant d’autres. Évidement, ce serait aussi une bonne idée de Googler un peu, tsé…

certains ont dit que ça faisait Michael Moore un peu, allant éveiller nos peurs du Big Brother et al. je me demande pourquoi à chaque fois que quelqu’un mentionne l’implication de la CIA ou du gouvernement américain dans la collecte d’informations personelles on les vire de bord en les traitant de conspirationistes paranoiaques?

certains croient que la seule indiscrétion de Facebook est au niveau des habitudes de consommation de ses utilisateurs. mais quant on fouille un peu, quand on se donne la peine de se renseigner, ce qu’on trouve est hautement plus grave, plus inquiétant. il y a par exemple un choniqueur de gnn.tv qui s’est fait bannir de Facebook pour ses déclarations pro-Chavez dans certains groupes de discussion.

malheureusement, le besoin d’appartenance, l’illusion de faire partie d’une communauté, la proximité virtuelle et l’addiction pure et simple au contact instantané rend Facebook si attrayant… mais je crois que je me rapproche de la raison un peu plus chaque jour.

J’ai sérieusement envie de fermer mon compte. Ça fait déjà un bout de temps que j’y pense. Ça ne m’apporte rien vraiment. Ceux qui veulent me parler peuvent le faire en tout temps, ils savent où et comment.

En plus, pour “fermer” son compte, en fait pour le deleter de façon permanente, il y a un paquet d’étapes, incluant une demande écrite à FB. Sinon votre compte n’est que “désactivé”. Lire: toutes vos données leur seront encore disponibles. Déjà que vous leur avez donné le droit d’utliser votre nom, vos notes, vos photos gratuitement, sans limite et sans recours de votre part…

J’ai du trouble avec mes fils RSS. J’ai tout refait, et redirigé vers Feedburner.

Ok, I know, I’m sorry. I keep changing. The last template was really gorgeous, but way too heavy and complicated for my taste. I thought it slowed down the page. There were too many things to fix and work around. After hours spent trying to get it to work properly, I just saw no end to it. And it was… just too white. Every time I came here I didn’t feel inspired. I just felt… meh.

Anyway, this one is I think a good representation of where I am. I really like the image. And most importantly, it’s fucking functional. Easy to manage. All I have left to do is update to WP 2.something. And I might play around with some widgets and the font in the header.
